Salumu

Salumu completed his secondary school education last year. We offered him the opportunity to pursue vocational training as a solar technician in Kilolo, but he decided to discontinue the program after a short time.

Instead, he chose to support his grandmother and earn his own income through farm work. Salumu is a good young man, and while we see his potential and abilities, we respect his decision to follow a different path.

He attended a government school, which can be quite challenging, and at times he struggled to see the purpose in continuing his studies. This is not uncommon in Tanzania, where some young people feel ready to move on from formal education and start working.
