🏫 Our Education Projects in Tanzania – For a Strong Future

Our Tumaini Friends Pre- & Primary School (TFPPS) stands for high-quality, holistic education from preschool to Grade 7. Since receiving our school license in 2022, we have been offering a comprehensive, English-language primary education. With the support of our partners, additional classrooms, a sports field, and modern sanitary facilities have been built—creating an environment where children can grow both academically and socially

At our school, children do not only learn to read, write, and calculate, but also how to use media responsibly. Self-confidence, critical thinking, creativity, and a strong sense of community are the core of our educational institution. We work intensively to support each child individually, to identify talents, and to lay the foundation for a confident future.

In Kilolo, at an altitude of around 1,900 meters, a forward-looking campus with kindergarten and primary school is being developed. Since 2026, we have also been running a small hostel, as some parents are not able to take care of their children full-time. This project has been developed since 2021 and is becoming a place where children can learn and live in a calm, nature-rich environment.

Our goal is to create a place that goes beyond a traditional school program:

• ✔️ Encouraging independent thinking and shaping future perspectives

The Kilolo Agape School is based on our Montessori model, which supports children in learning independently and with joy. Our strong partner, Legacy Academy from Iringa, ensures that we provide true 21st-century education. We are open to partnerships and exchange programs with German-speaking private schools. We are always looking for good teachers to join our schools for periods from three months up to two years.

The Tumaini Learning Center is a place of hope for our orphans. Located directly on the grounds of our orphanage, we provide them with the education they need for the 21st century—and with it, real opportunities for the future.

The focus is on digital skills and information technology: our children learn how to use computers and software, write applications, work creatively, and navigate the digital world safely and confidently. We want them not to be left behind, but to find their place in this world with confidence.

The program is complemented by practical courses such as sewing and design, which promote creativity, self-confidence, and independence. The Tumaini Learning Center means more than education: it means perspective, dignity, and the chance for a self-determined life.

Education is more than lessons—it is a key to self-determination and to overcoming poverty. Through our schools, we give children:
