Since 2012 we have been running our Kindergarten with Day Care facility. When we commenced the project, we had many young orphans for whom we had to organise care. By doing this, we provided our children with quality education from the early age of three. Since the start, word has spread and children from the nearby community visit the kindergarten in addition to our own orphans. This is great because it helps finance our teachers and assistants. We use the Montessori teaching method which is very successful. Some of our teaching assistants are even former orphans who now have a job and great prospects from a career perspective.

In 2022 we received the school licence to run an English Medium Primary School. In Tanzania, this means seven school years with a state examination in grade 4. Thanks to the support of “Triton Beratungsgesellschaft GmbH” from Germany, we were able to build more classrooms, a sports field more sanitation facilities as well as expand our educational institution. Our "Tumaini Friends Pre- and Primary School" is now located on our second largest site in Mwandege, on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam, and we are able to offer our own children and children from the surrounding area quality education from Kindergarten through to Grade 7.

Since 2021 we have been working on our new project - a boarding school in Kilolo, in the Iringa District, in central Tanzania. A school complex is being built at an altitude of 1,900 metres, and we hope to complete construction by 2025. In September 2022, we will open our Montessori kindergarten in Mwandege, based on our current model and within the next few years we will have a primary school and boarding school built there. In Tanzania, quality education is rare. We want to set an example with exchange programmes, good teachers and quality education. We also want to create a home away from home for the boarding students in a quiet but central location in the forest near Kilolo and provide a peaceful place to learn. The school will use the income to finance our orphanage projects in Dar es Salaam (Mwandege).
